Four week break? No way!
It feels like the last Grand Prix was ages ago. The Bahrain Grand Prix was held four weeks ago and thus it all seems like a long break for Formula 1. But I haven’t noticed it even a bit to be honest!
In the past few weeks I had a lot of sponsor activities for companies such as Leaseplan and Trust. The team and I enjoyed a fabulous event in The Netherlands when I got the chance to race an F-16 Fighterjet. Unfortunately I lost the battle but most important was that it was a great day and a unique happening.
We also travelled to Circuit de Catalunya, near Barcelona, to prepare ourselves for the upcoming Spanish Grand Prix. I had one day in the car but unfortunately there were some technical problems with the car so running was limited. I believe we made some good progress once again last week during that test. We now must wait and see how things will go at this weekend’s Grand Prix.
I’m looking forward to race there. It’s an interesting track for sure with some fast and slow corners. It will also be the first time we race at Circuit de Catalunya with the new chicane there. I wonder if it will help to get an extra overtaking possibility. Let’s wait and see the madness in Spain with the many Spanish fans!
